Field Check Procedure

Configure the Gauge

  • Press Mode until the display shows pressure (Pa) on both channels (PrA & PrB).

  • Turn Auto Zero off to stabilize readings during the test.

Connect Channels A & B

  • Attach a single clean tube between Input A and Input B (or both reference ports).

  • Readings should match within 2%; this confirms both the tube and gauge ports are working properly.

Repeat for Other Tube Combinations

  • Test the same way using different tubes (yellow, blue, green, etc.) and different port pairings.

  • Any channel deviation or rapid drop indicates a blocked, pinched, or leaking tube or a faulty port.

Why this Matters

  • Tube issues are common. Water, kinks, or loose fittings often cause significant error—much more than gauge drift alone.

  • A quick weekly check or before every critical test avoids starting with faulty equipment.

  • These tests isolate whether the gauge or tube is malfunctioning—helping you correct the issue on-site.

Troubleshooting

If pressure drops rapidly:

  • Replace or re-route the tube.

If readings differ >2%:

  • Swap the tube alone; if still off, try another port to identify the issue.
  • If all tubes fail, the gauge may need factory recalibration.
