Depressurization tightens connections by pulling the duct panel seals inwardāideal for registering leaks effectively.
Pressurization is more convenient in tight spaces and avoids blowing seals off registersāpreferred for field flexibility.
Tape all register openings.
Install range ring/plate on DucTester and attach flex duct to the return inlet
Tube up the gauge to the fan and duct system according to Quick Guide diagrams.
For pressurization: connect flex to fan outlet; for depressurization: connect to fan inlet
Power on DucTester.
Monitor pressure on Channel A, adjusting fan speed or range as needed.
Stabilize readings and record flowāCFM@25āÆPa by defaultāfor duct leakage measurement.
Try pressurization first to test range attachments easily.
Follow with depressurization to validate results and seal integrity
Install the smallest effective range for best measurement resolution.
Let the system stabilize (typically ~30ā60āÆs) before logging readings.
Switch modes between test runs to ensure full coverage and reliability.
