How to download FanTestic, how to find it on your computer, what it comes with, ASTM manual, and choosing your protocol
Download & Install
- Visit the Retrotec Support ā Software Downloads page and click āDownloadā next to FanTestic (Lite/Pro/6/24).
- Run the installer (right-click as Administrator is recommended for full driver support on DMā2 gauges).
- Requirements: Windows XP+ (.NETāÆ4.0), 512āÆMB RAM, 600āÆMB (32-bit) or 1.5āÆGB (64-bit) disk, and Microsoft Word 2007+ for report generation.
Initial Launch & Demo Mode
After installation, launch via Start ā Retrotec ā FanTestic or desktop icon.
The software starts in 30āday fully functional trial. After expiration, core features remain (e.g., manual tests), but report/export tools are disabled unless licensed.
Activate License & Choose Protocol
- Navigate to Settings ā Enter License and paste your license key (including START/END markers).
Each license unlocks features, standards, and gauge controls (Lite vs. Pro).
Select your test standard (ASTM, ATTMA, EN13829, CGSB, USACE, NFPA, etc.) via Settings ā Change Standard Used for New Tests. Then restart for changes to take effect
